What happened in april (I'm late again)

I forgot to mention that i saw 2 other movies on march, i forgot to mention them because i was focusing on the trip that month, and not the movies i saw that month, also because i saw 1 of them after the trip. also, why am i using the word trip instead of vacation, it makes me sound like i’m implying i did something illegal in Disney world, (which will be the plot of the terrible next hangover sequel.) which i didn’t do.

Anyways, i saw Hunger Games: Catching Fire with my dad, i thought this one was better than the first one because it was more about the politics and dystopian stuff rather than the battle roy- er, hunger games itself.
of course then the movie turns into a another hunger games, but even then the dark atmosphere and action of the second half still makes it a griping movie, and it is better than the hunger games in the first movie by virtue of not having a shaky ass camera, but the second half still feels sudden and rushed coming after the political first half. but, its still a good dystopian movie, despite these flies.
Also it had a badass old lady in it.

Also the fat fuck who thought it was a good idea to spilt the next film into 2 parts, because its the new trend to spilt the last movie of a series of film adaptations of a teen novel series, (because Harry Potter and Twilight did so.), should be forced to fight in the hunger games. And you might be thinking, “D’artagnan, how do you know the guy is fat? You don’t know the guy personally!!!! Your not the NSA!!!!”
Well, guess what, I AM THE NSA!!! I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!
AND YOURS!!!!!!!!
hahahahah-(no i don’t, and i went on a weird tangent there.)

And, i watched Donnie Darko with my dad, along with Jacob's ladder and the butterfly effect, as a “Weird movie trilogy” (Oh yeah, that butterfly effect, what did I thank? Well i enjoyed it, but not as much as my mom and dad did, i found the movie to good overall, but it wasn’t great, it got pretty cheesy and over dramatic at times. Thinks to the kids being ridiculous evil, and the ending was crap, not the director’s cut which is awesome, i mean the normal cut one. However, seeing the different variants of the timeline was pretty cool, and what caused them to be changed, and despite the stupid parts, it was still fun to watch. So good movie, but kind of stupid in parts. Donnie Darko is better obviously.), it was a weird movie, but it was great because of that reason.

Also that “review” was really short for a review of Donnie Darko, sooooo...see it, because its a classic, but remember that its REALLY weird. And kind of hard to get.
I just realized that both movies i talked about have time travel involved.

Now, on to April.
This month was notable because we got to see a sentencing of a friend of ours in Seattle this month, i am describing it last in this post because i feel like i need to give our friend respect, by placing it last, as it was very emotional.
However there was one thing that happened during the 2 days we were there, that i’ll talk about separately, to make the flow of me explaining what happened on that better later in this post.

The day before the sentencing, while we were inside our hotel room which we rented for the 2 days, we were visited by mom’s brother, who was pretty nerdy, and according to him he has played almost every role-playing game in existences, except for this one old wild west role-playing game that only 3 people ever played anyways. we eat some Mexican, and i opened a bunch of taps on the hotels public computer of stuff that would freak out the next person who came over to the computer, like history of Al-Qaeda, Wikipedia pages on Seattle and the space needle, and on his suggestions, Amazon pages on yellowcake and the anarchist's cookbook, stuff that would make the next person who came over think a terrorist was using the computer, he seemed to have a familiarity with this kind of, i was wondering how he came to know this kind of stuff, i asked him, and he said it came from The X-Files, where that kind of stuff would be mentioned to make it seem like the show wasn't made up on the spot, and he went like "That sounds interesting!", and read up on that stuff.
Interesting (If suspicious) guy.

later in the month, we (meaning me my mom and dad, my friend David and his family, my friend trey, and my friend Cameron) went to a thing that wasn’t really a Ren Faire but was kind of one, called the society for creative anarchism, its where people go to pretend to be people who live in the middle ages, so that means they wear armor and have fake sword fights, and sell fake swords and have fake archery and...come on how isn’t this a ren faire, it was fun for a bit as we walked around and saw knights in armor (Mostly fake, but one badass guy had a full plate of armor made out of real metal! Also he looked like Sean Connery), sword fighting each other, and people dressed up like peasants from the medieval age, which is what we were dress like (picture).

There were shops in old style tents and there was a archery course, but unfortunately we never got to try it out for reasons i am about to describe.

There was also an auction, a silent auction to be precise, as the auction had the items presented and a piece of paper that you wrote down your name and your price on, and after a certain amount of time, you would get that item. There were a few items that we wanted, Cameron and David wanted these fake swords which looked kind of real, and they wanted to fight with them obviously.

We were having fun at first, but then heavy wind started to flow in and the tents almost fell over and we were forced to bid on some of the items, which included the fake swords trey and cameron wanted to get, but it was starting to get windier so we would have to eventually leave, meaning he wouldn’t be there to get the items we wanted, however one of the ladies running the auction told us that we could write our e-mail addresses on the paper, but the other lady running it said “i don’t think so”. So dad wrote his e-mail address on the papers, unsure of rather we would get the items or not, we knew we would win, because nobody else was bidding because of the terrible weather, so all that needed to happen was for them to email us, and we could get the items we wanted, leaving the dilemma of whether they would email us or not, we then quickly left.
The ladies never emailed us back.
What a shame.

Also a shame, is that when i was younger, me and dad went to one of these things, and apparently they allowed kids to fight other kids with swords as well, which would have been fun to do, last time i was there i was scared and didn’t want to do it, i regretted that and now that i had a second chance, it looked like they don’t allow kids to sword fight other kids anymore! What a shame! Also we didn’t get to do the archery ether, because of the wind.
Fortunately the day wasn’t completely wasted however, as it was Saturday, which is usually when we hang out and play role-playing games and make jokes and take drugs and hire hookers and sell our- oops i wasn’t supposed to mention that last stuff.

May was not as notable:
My dad, john’s birthday happened, and despite mom buying him a hour in a sensory depuration chamber, we did nothing that day.

I went to the dentist again, but I'm sick of writing about my dentist appointments, so i’m going to kept it short.
I went to a new office and doctor because i am getting braces to get my teeth straight, because my teeth are mutant. And the doctor specializes in that kind of stuff.
Also i went to a normal dentist appointments, sometime these two months, but nothing interesting happened.

I also went on a field trip with david and trey and their family and obviously mine and some other families that we will never see again, to a blacksmith, a real one, and this was because David and trey are obsessed with swords right now. There was two really badass blacksmiths, and they made a axe, the process is really long and mainly involves heating and pounding a thick steel square to shape it into a axe, a thick steel square! It was fun to watch, to me anyways, i think the younger kids may have found it boring.
Also David asked the blacksmiths how much would 35$ get him in swords, the answer?
A book about making swords, duh. It costs over 100$ to get a sword.
Seriously David, that's a stupid question and you know it.
Stupid katana fetishist.

Also my other friend sean said something stupid this month, that ninjas should have won every battle they were in on deadliest warrior. Just for the record, ninjas were NOT THAT COOL. How do i know this? Well, first off, most of the stuff about ninjas wearing all black or using throwing stars came from Japan years after ninjas had stopped being used, second, the old Japanese texts did not talk about ninjas that much, because they fought that the samurais were much cooler because they were rich and stuff. THATS RIGHT THEY THOUGHT NINJAS WEREN'T THAT COOL TO BEGIN WITH! So despite what the legends say, Ninjas were not that cool.

-------------------------------------

And now that I've said all of that, i will now talk about a sad thing that happened to a friend of ours. The reason why I'm talking about this last, as I've explained earlier, is because i feel like this deserves special attention, so its last thing I'm talking about.
We (Meaning me my mom and my dad) know a friend, whose name i will not say, out of respect, he is a good friend and used to be very angry but started to feel bad at this, and stopped it, and decided to take a interest in spiritual stuff, like yoga and crystals (Stuff we don’t believe in, but i won’t criticize him for it), and became more clam in general, he is a great friend.
But unfortunately, he did something stupid about a year ago, that was illegal at the time. This got him in trouble with the law, he had a trial before all of what I'm about to describe, and pleaded guilty, in early April we went into Seattle to hang out with him the day before the sentencing, and be there for it as well.
The day before the sentencing, we met with him in Seattle, in the hotel he lived in, the hotel had a bassick with candy in it that anyone could take from, so we had some delicious candy. we went to his room, it had a lot of stuff having to with yoga and the like, we talked with him and hang out with him while walking around in Seattle, we got to see his girlfriend and his dogs, and he had a fun time around Seattle. I do not have much to say about what happened (other than my mom’s brother), as the sentencing is a lot more important.

The next day, for the sentencing we dressed in business suits and ties, we arrived at the courthouse, the judge knew that he wasn’t a bad man but still did something illegal, our friend was worried if he would be able to continue to practice yoga while he was in jail, the judge said that there were probably classes in the prison based around yoga “yoga behind bars”, our friend was also worried that he would lose his job, which I do not know what it is but I know it isn’t a terrible one, the judge said that his fellow employees had sent him a letter, which made note about how he was a good man and they would be happy to let him back in. mom was crying, i was sad, dad was sad, everyone was sad. the judge cut his sentence from 10 months to 7 months.
We left, and we went back to the hotel, and said goodbye, and left in the car. Overall it was a very emotional day.

Later in the month, we met him again in Bellingham, right before he went to jail, where he was unloading his personal belongings into a friends house, dad helped him move the belongings in, and he also give us his PS3, he then said his goodbyes and we hoped that he will get out early for good behavior.
the best thing about all of this is that its likely that none of this will turn out bad for him, he's admitted that he made a mistake, and by admitting it he’s shown that he's more mature and nicer than he was a few year, and as evidenced by the judge reducing his sentence by 3 months, it is likely he WILL get out early for good behavior.
So overall, despite me describing it like it was the love child of Schindler’s List and Call The Midwifes, it actually was probably the best way things would have turned out him, consternating that people have gone to jail for ten years for small crimes! Also the jail he was being sent to is just a small camp, and not one of the big ones which are normally full with gangs and common prison fights.
Overall we are happy that the result of the sentences was not that bad and our friend will hopefully be out by thanksgiving.

And that's it for now. I wish i didn’t have writer's block and i wish that i was more productive, because these Blogs have been taking longer and longer to work on, and they have been getting later and later, and its making me sad and depressed. Also i wish i could improve my skills in writing more, because i don’t think this Blog has improved my writing in any way. There.

note: I have never taken any illegal substances in my life, nor my friends, nor do we run a smuggling ring, i was just joking. incase that wasn’t already obvious, mr. or ms. no-joke pants.
Also i went to lake Tahoe with my mom and dad, but i’m saving that for next post, because i worked on this post during that trip. And because I'm tired.
Finally, I'm also going to make a post about the Tarantino movies i saw with my dad in may. i didn’t talk about them in this Blog, because laziness, and because i want 3 Blog posts this month, 2 for the months i missed, and 1 for this month.

See you soon.
