soooo
we went to mom’s friend and kristina had a birthday party, not much
there, also we went to another birthday party, again, not much there,
except for the fact it was a mustache party, yeah i don’t know what they
were smokin either...oh and i went to cameron's birthday, again not
much here.
krystina stayed for labor day weekend, not much here.
we
went to BUMBERSHOOT AND there actually is MUCH HERE, we saw foxy
shazam, doug loves movies, (which my dad's poster almost won, but he didn't. you can here on the podcast) and some other stuff, that
i can’t remember cause i got drunk and couldn't remember anything, but
it must had been fun (note:i didn’t really get drunk).
also
i’ve got some new rpg books, i usually don’t talk about role-playing
here (atleast not until recently), but my dad wants me to talk about
what books i get, so, i got one shots (for unknown armies, a game that i
highly recommend for fans of tim powers), blood and lust (for
pendragon), arkham now (call of cthulhu, i wanted more adventures in
arkham country, but dad accidentally got this one), and more adventures
in arkham country (i did get what i wanted later though) for
bumbershoot.
also
i’ve just watched fight club, which is like the graduate but the main
character is in his late 30s and not college, and with a twist that
everybody knows (like how everybody knows that butch cassidy and the sundance kid has
no ending), and man-boobs, and the movie starts with a tour through the
brain, and it has homoerotic overtones, and it ends with a dick.
maybe the next time i make a movie it should end with a pic of a guys dick that flashes for a second.
and
the lesson of the movie is, don’t work at a job in a big office,
because you’ll get insomnia, and go insane and start a fight club with
your imaginary friend. oh, and if you want to come up with a good idea
for a book, and your crazy, then get beat up by random thugs, and you’ll
come up with a great idea for a book, that will get turned into a movie
starring brad pitt. (which will have a better ending than the book).
also i’ve just broken the first 2 rules of fight club.
election
day is coming, i want to talk about it, but usually it leads to me
getting angry, and talking about the later part of the second act of
fight club, except i’m not talking about the movie, i’m talking about it
like its in real life, and i’m tyler durden.
now
that my lifes out of the way, here is a review of pendragon, a role
playing game about king arthur, btw i’ve spent most of this entry
talking about fight club, and now i’m about to talk about king arthur,
am i about to write a arthurian version of fight club?.
(or am i about to write fight club-ish version of the once and future king?)
