Its that time of year again, $hristm-er i mean Christmas.

now, we all know what we do during christmas, we watch movies, “What” your saying “What about the presents?”, well you're a infidel! Because christmas is to celebrate the birth of jesus, were the three wise men give jesus dvds for “citizen kane” “the seventh seal” and “That one disney documentory were they made lemmings fall off a cliff”, but dvd players were not invented yet, so the massage was lost on baby jesus. and of course, we watched Christmas movies during Christmas, like tron.

Tron is perhaps the best geek movie ever*, It is set in dark distopia future of 1982, and is about the big lebowski whos a video game designer for some reason, who attempts corporate espionage by breaking in to the company that stole his games, but gets zapped by a ray gun that takes him in to THE INTERNET.

WARNING SPOILERS!

actually, he goes into cyberspace, BUT THATS THE SAME RIGHT?

ANd in cyberspace everyone plays games like “laser discs” “light cycle” and “pac-man”

all of which would make great video games in real life (and they did)

and then he finds love

and then he goes back home in a futurama tube.

BUT NOT WITHOUT SCREAMING A LOT.

But seriously, tron is a great movie, and has aged well! It has awesome effeicts and is fun to watch, and it had a sequel many years later. it may be somewhat over dramatic at some parts, but thats part of the fun, also it feels like a fucking video game.

(in fact, the director got the idea for it from seeing pong for the first time, also he only made four movies. and is only known for tron)

Also, it has something to do with christmas, one character compares the main character (played by the big lebowski) to santa claus (“this guys like santa claus!”) when opens the biggest door in the universe. So yeah.

It is also the reason why theres a toy story, it was one of the first movies to use computer effects, but it was never really recognized during its time for this, but then its fanbase grow large enfoe, that disney decided to make a sequel.

after those two, i also saw elsume with dad, elsme is a movie by the same guy who made destrict nine, one of the few movies that i give 9.5 aliens relseming slaves out of 10. and it follows the theme created by district nine, political proplum with sci-fi thing, last time it was aparhine with aliens, this time it is free heal care with robots.

alos one cuplant about district nine was that the third act was more acton based than the rest of the movie, which was just drama. the director decides to respond to that criticism by making the entire movie action, making it matt damon vs rich people on the ring from halo.

yeah, they ripped off halo.

the bad rich people are on a ring that's also a planet with life, and the halo from halo is a ring with life on it like a planet!

Fun fact: peter jackson and neill blomkamp were going to make a halo movie, but then they made district nine instead, and they blomkamp made elsume. which ripped off halo. those fuckers.

ALSO, while dad was sleeping and mom was getting drunk with friends, i had time to watch could atlas alone.

i have no idea what happened in the movie.

actually, that sounds like what mom said when she got back home “i don’t know what's going on”. oh god i just figured it out.

its a movie about being drunk and not knowing what happened afterwards. wachowskis, you are geniuses.

bad jokes aside, i’m going watch the movie again one day, so i can know what's going on.

And finally, i watched blade runner with my dad (which i saw before could altas, but still, i’m putting it afterwards in this post just cause...i worte about this last.), pesfcly the final cut which was what the movie wans meant to be but then they added in a happy ending, narration, and cut out a horse scene.

So the final cut is clearly the better movie.

but yeah its blade runner what more do i need to say? other than the unfunny han solo killing robots joke, also i can’t believe that this movie was a failure at the box office, especially since every cyberpunk thing ever is inspired by this movie.

and with my mom and dad i saw “the way way back”,Your average teen comedy film. expit its your average indie movie instead, whatever, its a movie about a depressed teen, that should tell you what its about.

anyways, it was a good movie, and a funny one.

And he give them rewards for doing so!

I despise them”, so yeah, put it by predator and commando.

The reason why this movie is so good is because of how subtly creepy it is. The Creepiness of the main “hero”, The lack of good guys, the blood and violence, the irony of the ending and...The fact the title sounds like a cheesy horror movie if you replace the cover. By that i’m not saying its awesome because of the volcence, i’m saying that ultimate theme of...People being terrible human beings? (I’m not god at analysis....) is done well. One could say its commdery on potilcs, but....actally, yeah i kind of does......but my point is is that the movie is prehpes one of the best expemlers of a anti-hero in movies ever. And horror movies, because Robert de Niro is fucking scary.

november

no post in november about what happened in november, how ironic, so to make up for it, i will make a-er, post about november. What happened? we went to a island.

we went on a boat trip to the island (duh), it was on the canadian bay, so we went through the border of Canada (man that sounds cool for such a boring thing, its like canada is another universe, not that it isn’t already, but hey, its canada)-Oh and by the way, despite this blog being around for a few years, i should point out that despite being born to american parents, and living in america, i’m actually dual citizenship, so i’m half canadian. anyways, we went on a boat, and then to another boat, to saturna island. by the way, i like going on boat trips, its a good feeling to relax while on sea and look at the great water, such a nice feeling. also the boat had to park by a few other islands because it had some other stuff to do, like have a shipping truck come on to the island of “which no one knows its true name because i don’t remember its name. So there”. and then we went on saturna island.

saturna island was a nice place we thought. the house we rented for the 3 days was styled like a old 1800s house, but it was built in the 90s, so it was not hunted. however, the bath tub outside of the house was a replacement of another one that a long time ago had a man die in it, but a shaman was called to drive away the spirit of the dead man afterwards, and then the hottub was replaced, so...ex-hunted i guess*.

if i ever made a website that was a catalog of house that are available for rent, i would have a check box on the profiles for houses for “hunted”, and every house would ether be “haunted” “not haunted” “ex-haunted” “not haunted, but the monkey who we keep in the attic thinks hes a real boy”, and “please pay our taxes”.

anyways, the house had a pool table, dart board, and an shuffle board, and there haven’t been any haunted shuffleboard movies that i know of, and that's for the best.

and there was a cd player too, i have nothing else to say other than, we listened to music, maybe stuff that was actually a ritual used for causing Satan to appear, who we had to fight and we did and we won by causing him to slip over a banana peel. But it wasn’t haunted, so no.

OK, that's enough of the house. it was really boring to write about, lets talk about the island. i don’t want to write a review of the house.

the island itself is a community island, with a population of 200, its a nice little island on the Canadian bay, and it is nice to know that everyone probably knows everyone, and that-

-ok, i am writing a review here, so if you want to know more about this place, just look it up on wikipedia or something.

so i guess i’ll try to talk about stuff we did now......um...well we drove around the island in our car and looked at all of the places, the island was suprisely smart and so the trip was short, the island had a house over looking the sea, a church, some animals and stuff, do you want to experience this? then look up sartana island on google street view, and have your mom and dad talk about something while looking at it, if you can’t get to talk about stuff? then make them get into a fight by bringing up something they used to fight about, which will cause you to have post-traumatic flashbacks to when your dad hit you, because your a 55 years old abuse victim and not me. sucks to be you.

and we also had no internet at the island, which you think would cause me to do a comedic “oh no there's no internet i’m going craaaaaazy” scene from a terrible comedy, but no. I had fun with my family instead. sorry you didn’t have good parents, 55 year old.

NOTE: IF your not 55 years old and had horrible parents, then you were the attended audience of that joke, if i offended any actual abuse victims, then i guess i’ll cancel my comedy movie about a Vietnam vet going back in time to Vietnam. sorry. but seriously, sorry.

in the house, there was a library that was just one cramped room with shelves on each of the walls, we could not read the books however, as we could not find the light switch, which made it mysterious, and then we founded the light switch, it was in one of the shelves, mystery solved. and we took a look at some of the books, i looked at harry potter and the deathly hollows and found the end of the book which said “the scar had not bothered him for seventeen years” dad found a book with a entry about two nazis fighting in boiling water and one of them put the others head in the water drowning him, but was boiled by the water, killing both of them. we made jokes about it for the rest of the day.

and then after 3 days, we went back on a boat to home, also dad smoked some weed with a canadian on the trip back, cause yeah. it was fun. not the weed part, i mean the boat part.

*assuming that the story wasn’t a lie to make people come to the house.

also, thanksgiving, we ate food, and then a day later i played risk with dad, i won, also i was playing as australia. and then we went to my friend treys house and had another thanksgiving there. then in early December trey stayed over at my house for 3 days, he also bought skyrim, and he played as a khajiit, a white one because he likes white tigers for some weird reason. and then we brought him back like a infected child, so there. we also got the chance to play risk with him, i won once, and then he won once.

and that's it for November, it was more interesting in person. but hey, i’m stuck with this blog happily anyways, so whatever.

A few things i forgot to mention that happened to me in octuber.

Me and my mom, went to the upfront theater to see a showing of four sopranos, all of which were good. The last one was kind of anti-climactic however.

Trey had his birthday at my house, he got a new computer as a present, cause his last one broke. Also my dad ordered it for him, which was nice of him. And trey is differently loving the new computer.

the reason why there was no post for october is because of.....

......HALLOWEEN BITCHES.

I have the iron man award for staying in a coffin for the entire night. as well as other things.

Once again, like every year since 2007, we had a haunted house on halloween.

this time its theme was an evil circus, with spooky clowns, and there was a terrifying (wow i’m using lots of halloweeny nouns.) circus tent, and a haunted forest (we have that one every year, its a small forest thats in our lawn, that we decorate with coffins and graves and stuff.).

my job was to wear a skull mask, with glowing light goggles, while staying in a coffin, that i would pop out of. my goal was to make it seem like i was fake, (the goggles made me look fake) and then pop out at a trick or treater who didn’t know that i was real. but this was a joint effort. you see, my dad was hanging from a nearby tree on a harness, in a gorilla costume, and if they knew i was real, or if they looked too closely at the “fake” gorilla, he then would....SCARE THE PISS OUT OF THEM. however dad had to switch to another spot, so he had sawyer take over his spot, however sawyer wasn’t as good. but i stayed in the coffin for the entire night, all the way to 10:00, when everybody decided to end it (not enough trick or treaters at the time). so i win the iron man award, for staying in a coffin again for the entre night without falling asleep, does that mean that i should dress as tony stark next year? no.

Everyone else was, of course, just as good, if not better. i heard lots of screams from the tent, often loud, also one of my dad's co workers jessy would often get out of prison, so someone would call out JESSY whenever trick or treaters were seen. also everyone thought i looked cool, and then they would scream at the clowns in the tent.

sooo....it was fucking awesome, so much better than winy day last year.

props to cameron’s dad for being awesome with harnesses, and _ for finding a gorilla costume. and ______ for scaring and awesomeness.

So that what happened on my halloween, now i'm going to talk about what movies i saw in October (And November.)

SPOILERS MOST ARE OLD HORROR MOVIES.

WARNING SPOILERS FOR OLD MOVIES:

the exorcist: Everyone says this is a creepy movie, this is somewhat true, but i felt more grossed out then spooked out (lots of throwing up green throw up.). Still, great movie, i’m sure the number of new members in the catholic church that came because of this movie was worth it. Also, they got a little girl to say bad words such as “Cocks”.

Rosemary’s baby:

Despite being directed by roman polanski, this stantic movie is quite surreal at times, and plays out like a detective in how it reveals the occult backstory, also it being directed by a creep kind of makes it better. Doesn’t it? But on the other hand, This movie is responsible for the santic panic of the 70s and 80s.
:sigh:. Great job roman polanski....

(that wasn’t going into my theory that the satanic panic was a cover up for the mass child abuse done by fundamental christians. But, I'm not alex jones, and he probably believes in that there are satanic cults who sacrifice people and have sex orgy and baby baths anyways. And it might not be true.)

Pan’s labyrinth

More of a fantasy movie, but it there's a man with eyes on his hands, so its a dark fairy tail.

My mom loved the movie, and so did i. One of guillermo del toro’s best. Also The fascist guy was horrible and a perfect (or not since he was a bad guy who killed people alot) creepy human bad guy. And so was the pile of shoes in the pale mans house...creepy? creepy.

Also the faun is not pan, the original title was “the labyrinth of the faun”, and pan is really hyper sexual, which is not what this film is about. (And it would make this film a lot more creeper, and not in a good way, thanks to the main character being 11 years old).

Also toro has said its not pan anyways, so yeah.

This movie is a fairy tail, not lotila, duh.

cape fear

another reason to be scared of robert de niro, this remake of j. lee thompson's classic, is one of the only real movies i saw this month that kind of scared me. Manly thinks to the pedophila aspect, oh god, that was....uuuugh.

nightmare on elm street

O.k., its a slasher film from the 80’s, what more needs to be said.

Well, wes carven, despite introducing the world to johnny depp, did try to make this one somewhat subtle in some aspects, like how freddy doesn’t make much jokes like he does in the later movies, and how the nightmares feel like nightmares...that are REAL. It works somewhat well.

the haunting

this, along with pan’s labyrinth, i watched with my mom. It is a classic haunted house film, and a psychology drama. And is subtle in its horror (expect for one scene). in how it depicts the slow breaking of the mind of a young psychic woman. Also, scariest use of the living house clique ever.

All in all, i watched some awesome halloween films, and i hope to continue doing this every october.

also i hate the phrase all in all.

Also, me and my mom and dad went to a rocky horror picture screning (the second time i’ve done so, i probably wrote about it last october, or not.), and we also saw with trey and his mom. trey is a friend of mine, a very weird one. and for the entire movie, looked scared and confused, and after the movie, he said he didn’t know what happened. poor guy.

also, since i saw the movie before, i was easy instead of being a virgin (what they call people who have not been to a one before), and since i survived it, does that mean i’m “hard” now?

Bumbershoot 2013

This month was kind of long, so prepare for a long post.

First off the end of the sack:

ryandash, and a random sailor decided to land on the outskirts of the island of melnibone, rather than the burning city of imrry. they ignored the chaos vessel of the pan tangians who sent him on the mission in the first place, and instead went at their own pace, and landed with the eye in hand. at first they thought that they were safe, but when they lease exepited it, time was stopped for everyone but ryandash, and arioch appeared.

Arioch poiley asked for the eye. and by poiley i mean the chaos god standards of politeness, he was about as polite as an melnibone having his last talk with the slave it had chose to personally kill itself. ryandash, seeing no way she could defeat the lord of the seven darks, give up the eye with almost no disagreement. Arioch then transported her back to the purple towns along with the sailor, and unstopped time.

The sailor was shocked by the shudian transportation of herself and the sailor to the purple towns, anybody who saw them appear out of nowhere was weird out by their appearance. the two tried to explain what happened, but the two were dismissed as crazy. no one ever knew what was up with the “Mysterious duo”. But one things for sure, is that Every report, song, book, retelling, and story about the sack will at least make passing mention of the two, making them laughing stocks forever.

It also turned out that she was hired by pan tangan sorcerers who were trying to get the eye for horrible demonic rituals, it was trick on her, yet Arioch would make them the real fools!. And so, once they sailed to find the sorcerer, they found absolutely nothing of the lady. and now the eye of unlimited potential rests in Arioch hands. Yay.

Nice ending, dad!

That wasn’t the only other adventure that happened however, we just finished another adventure called the soujnsers guide to melnibone, at one point in the adventure we had to enter some melnibone nobles, camerons character, tsalor, decided to enter one of the young nobles by taking her to a different dimension, Cause thats his power, and so they ended up in france, in the future (for those who don’t know, michael moorcock wrote a series of books that took place in the post-apocalyptic future called “history of the runestaff, also the main bad guys are basically britain ran by nazis).

they then were founded questioned by a member of the beast order of gaenbreatian, who then throwed handcrafts on to tsalor (who then put them on) was angered by the lady and then shot her in the face (with a gun called a flame lance).

and then i came in with a new character who was a scientist, who had crashed a flying vehicle, and then i started to shoot at the guy right before he attacked blah, he then hid in his vehicle, and then i rolled a circticle and his head BLOWN THE FUCK UP, so yeah. I then picked up his flame lance.

and then we joined together, and ended up finding some slaves, who were working on a war machine, the vadage used his drain magic points on the slaves, but it did not work when he tried the spell, meaning he had to get alot more magic points then a he usually needs to planeshift. So we camped for the night in the jungle.

And then i got attacked by a half-animal half-human creature, who i blowed THE FUCK UP, with my flame hand, which woke up Tsalor, We now had food (the burning carcass of the creature).

So we continued walking down the path and ended up accidentally bumping into some soldiers of granbretion, i hide in the bushes and tried to blow there shit with the flame lance, but i missed, and we were captured.

We were then taking to their fortress, where there was a general, who a slave had drip some food on, he then he silt the slave's throat in front of us. he then put us in a prison cell, and then interrogated us, Tsalor by clipping out his nostril, and me by taking out my two front teeth, the amnel then asked me why he should just kill us, and i make a critical oratory, and convinced him that since i’m smart, i could be useful to them and there cause, they knocked me out anyways.

and then in the cell, tsalor builded up enough power to create a power using rings with stored power in them, and then we went to the young kingdoms.

also we brought a cook guy who was also imprisoned in the cell with us to the young kingdoms.

and there was some other stuff that happened next, which involved book thief, my sailor character committing book thief back, by raiding on the crab with them, and then i got chased by the book thieves giant metal crab, and managing to avoid the crabs claws just barely, despite the fact that it had a very large chance of hitting, and then we killed the shit out of it. it was awesome. and then the scientist came in with tsalor, who then fixed the metal crab with his science skills, now i have a giant crab, awesome.

and then we went to bumbershoot, See my previous post about it for what happened the last time we went there, i went there with my parents.

stuff that happened:

Delicious food, a ice cream chocolate banana thing, as well as a _____, and i swear it wasn’t poisoned.

Also i have duple joined thumbs, and i thumbed up everybody i saw there, people called me thumbs up guy, how nice, thumbs up to that.

shows we saw:

We saw some music at the coliseum. by alt j, who are awesome. made better by the fact we saw it in a colosseum, which was super awesome. and we saw some other musions. who were also awesome. of crose alt-j was the best as they had a man fight a real life lion, spoilers: the funeral was awesome.

Doug loves movies, again. we did not almost win like last time.

After this point i felt like i was gonna fall asleep at any moment, mostly thanks to long fits of mom and dad going to the bathroom, while i waited for them to come out. it made me tired along with me being tired in general.

The worst of this was when i almost passed out while seeing a few comedians, all of which were funny, but the most notable one was reggie icantremberhissecondname, who my parents REALLY like, and yet i wasn’t really paying addition to him cause i was half asleep and i swear that he must have been on drugs or something, cause seriously what the fuck, so yeah, he was weird, his music is nice however.

Anyways, for some reason i managed to not fall unconscious. which shows my dedication, but yeah (not falling asleep is not really dedication).

also there was a parody of ted talks by the stranger a interpinde newspaper, which was about “seducing my mother, black stuff, political stuff, gay stuff, and christianity vs gay stuff.” (it was great i guest.). and no not my mother.

Anyways, it was fun, but we had to leave immediately afterwards, because it was time to go, i didn’t pass out on the way, nor was it because i had to make a emergency drive to the hosable.

But it was fun, really.

Movies i saw recently time (Warning, SPOILERS FOR IRON MAN 3, FLASHPOINT, and SUPERMAN UNBOUND):

Tony stark 3 was a good movie, It is probably the best tony stark movie since iron man 1.

O.k., it was called iron man 3 not tony stark 3, but you would thinkin that they would call it that, if it wasn’t for the fact that the past 2 movies were called IRON MAN, But otherwise, its TONY STARK THREE!

Also the point of the movie is that tony stark doesn’t need iron man to be iron man, or rather “A superhero”, which along with the fact he spends more did then he did in the last movies being tony stark, so theres that.

But yeah, also in that flashback scene he totally DIS’D THAT GUY, bro. Yeah, they totally did the “Guy from your past wants to get revenge because you were a mean dick to him in the past” Cliche (Or rather, trope) straight.

And also the batman begins school of “That guy who you think is the bad guy is not the bad guy you're looking for, he just used that name to trick you into thinking it was, the OTHER GUY is the bad guy your looking, though it would make more sense for him the be the bad guy, but hey.”.

(Also he DESTROYS the iron man armor, how is this NOT CALLED TONY STARK 3?)

Anyways, now time for The Newest DC Universe Animated Original Movies, The Flashpoint Paradox And Superman: Unbound.

The only thing worth mentioning about unbound, is the fact that louis flips off brainiac, that is awesome, really the movie would have been two hours of that, and it would still be good.

The Flashpoint Paradox Has wonder woman stabbing a kid in the head, The movies have been very gory in the past, but not this gory, infact, its kind of awesome, i guess they wanted to make up for not showing joker poison a kid in the dark knight returns, which is awesome.

But the best part is when zoom gets shot in the head, and then the camera goes throw the hole in his head, with brains and all, its awesome.

(My dad was so amazed by that he screamed in joy in the best english accent he could do. Actually he didn’t. But still.)

So yeah, go see it.

You’ll get a english accent.

But then again i just spoiled it for you.

Someone should put a bullet through my head and the camera should go through the hole showing the man who shot me to be lee harvey oswald or something.

Also, recently we went to the forest thats by my house.

Where it was misty and really cool and spooky looking, so we did a game where we were two teams, and each was a boxer and a guy with a sword, and me and dad were the only ones with a light, and then everyone beat the shit out off each other.

But that wasn’t important, what was, was the fact it was dark and misty.

That was cool.

Also i ran an adventure for elric that day, but i’ll wait for the adventure to be over before i write about it.
